Door Anoniem (2-11-09-17 16:24): I installed both updates: KB 2607712 and KB 2616676 on my Win 7 64bit Asus laptop. I'm connected to internet with LAN cable (student dormitory) in the Netherlands. [...] I have tested Firefox, IE and Chrome and the same happens with all of them. That's weird. Firefox should not be affected by any of the recent certificate related Microsoft updates, as Firefox uses its own root certificate store (I don't know about Chrome, I don't use it). This could be a firewall issue somewhere. What happens if you attempt to open https://libproxy.ws.edu:3443/login? (this uses a non-standard TCP port number 3443 instead of the default https port number, which is 443). I assume none of the other students in the dorm have similar problems? Other questions that may lead to a clue of what's going on: are you experiencing the same problems when using another wired internet connection, for example at you parent's home or at a friend's home? Are you seeing the same errors when using WLAN (WiFi) ...
