The command line diskutil tool appears to be unchanged, so any scripts or workflows you have that use it should continue to work as they have. You can still use it to access secure erase functions and other things stripped from the GUI. Een andere algemeen gehoorde reden (hier op het forum) is dat het secure wissen van een SSD helemaal geen zin heeft juist omdat je geen garantie hebt dat de data echt weg zijn. Daarnaast heb je dan wel de garantie dat secure erase meer'slijtage' veroorzaakt en door veelvuldig secure wissen (is extra schrijfwerk) je SSD minder lang meegaat.
