CyberGuard Corporation Announces Million Dollar Firewall Contract with Major Government Reseller New Technology Management, Inc. (NTMI)

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 25 (Apr 26, 2000 9:6:6 EST) -- CyberGuard Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board:
CYBG), a leading provider of network security solutions, today announced it has received a $1 million order from
New Technology Management Inc. (NTMI), a leading government contractor. Under the terms of the agreement,
CyberGuard will provide high-end firewall products to a classified undisclosed end user, procured on behalf of the
United States government by NTMI.

The total procurement amount is expected to reach approximately $1.5 million. According to NTMI, CyberGuard's
products were chosen because of their multiple level security architecture and hardened operating and network
features that are particularly suited for the high security needs of their government customers.

The agreement with NTMI is part of CyberGuard's strategy to leverage resale distribution channels to market
firewalls to industry-leading companies and government agencies with large data infrastructures and security
needs. By working with NTMI, one of the largest minority owned government contractors in the Metropolitan
Washington DC area, the company is poised for additional growth opportunities in the government arena.
